Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson’s first novel hits stands this month. The book comes from Atria Books and weighs in around 300 pages. The actress penned the book titled “Star” with ghostwriter Eric Shaw Quinn. Anderson said she was approached by the publisher and then decided she would like to do a novel as opposed to a vegetarian cookbook or children’s stories. Anderson’s prior writing experience has consisted of a monthly column she writes for Jane magazine so she decided to enlist the help of Quinn to help with sentence structure and other issues. The book is a dramatization of Anderson’s life and features a blond beauty who ends up on a TV show called “Lifeguards, Inc.” Anderson based the character’s name on her own “porn name” Star Leigh Wood. A porn name is made by taking the name of your childhood pet as your first name and the street you lived on as a child as your last name. The book is said to be full of sex scenes and spicy action, which may or not be directly taken from the beauty’s own experiences. MSNBC.com has posted an excerpt for the curious Anderson will be at book signings in Manhattan this week and is already at work on a second novel.
