50 Cent Joins Springfield’s All-Star Guest Roster

Rapper 50 Cent is the latest celebrity to appear in the animated series, “The Simpsons,” according to Nancy Cartwright, to the voice behind the show’s Bart persona.

The actress has just finished work on the next series of The Simpsons and reveals that despite his tough-guy image, 50, nee Curtis Jackson, was a dream to work with:

“He's going to hate me for saying this but he's a pussycat,” she said. “The guy is really sweet.”

“(50 Cent) was so nice to me and just really gentle. We had a lot of fun. He plays himself and Bart gets to do a rap song in it.”

Of the upcoming collaboration, Cartwright adds: 'It's a different one from 'Do the Bart Man',” a reference to Bart’s 1991 recording debut. “It's very street, it's very street, if you will.”

50 Cent, has joined forces with many high profile characters, but this is the first time the multi-platinum rapper, 28, has recorded with a cartoon character. Oddly enough, however, this is not Bart’s first venture into rap. The permanent 10-year-old has also worked with grunge rappers Cypress Hill on the show.

The 50/Bart alliance will be seen in an episode of the sixteenth season of the show, which begins airing this fall.
