The self-named 'Pied Piper of R&B', R. Kelly, swept the Billboard awards held last night in Miami Beach, Florida. He took home seven of the eight awards for which he was nominated. Kelly received awards for top songwriter, producer, artist, singles artist, male artist, singles and singles airplay for 'Step in the name of Love'. Songstress Beyonce and rap group Outkast also got top honors. The duo took home three awards - top artist duo or group, album and rap album and top album. Beyonce won best female artist and best new artist. R&B legend Issac Hayes and the socially-conscious rapper KRS-One were both honored with Founders Awards, given to artists for their achievements and influence in R&B and Hip-Hop.
