This year’s Teen Choice Awards were held Sunday at Universal Amphitheatre. Usher garnered four awards for his latest album. In an acceptance speech he thanked Halle Barry, “for looking so good tonight.” Berry did not return the favor when she accepted her award for Choice Movie Actress, Drama/Adventure. Does Usher have his eye on adding another gorgeous older woman to his stable? After his very public break-up with Chili from TLC, he hasn’t been linked to anyone new.

Lindsay Lohan also picked up four awards for her movie roles, including winning Best Hissy Fit. Lohan has not yet released an album although she has sung on the soundtracks for several movies. Her debut album is currently in the works.

The media reign of the Simpson family (the Texan kind, not the cartoon ones) continued when Jessica’s little sister Ashlee Simpson took home Song of the Summer honors and she won the Choice Fresh Face awards. She performed the song as the grand finale to the show.

The show had some no-shows and some surprises. Britney Spears was nowhere in sight even though she was supposed to be a presenter. She won the Choice Single award for “Toxic.“ Janet Jackson made an unannounced appearance to present Courage Award to Bethany Hamilton, the young surfer who lost her left arm in a shark attack last fall.

In the TV category it was no surprise that 'The O.C.' won Choice TV Show, Drama/ Adventure and Choice TV Breakout Show, while Adam Brody won Choice TV Actor, Drama/ Adventure and Mischa Barton won Choice TV Breakout Female. Ashton Kutcher won Choice TV Personality, Choice Reality/ Variety TV Star and Choice TV, Reality/ Variety for 'Punk'd.'

Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie hosted the awards show, which will air Wednesday on Fox.
