Tom Sizemore is in trouble again. The tough -guy actor who has recently become more famous for his off-screen troubles than his career, was arrested when probation officers discovered drugs in his home. The 42-year-old actor was on probation for a 2003 conviction for beating and threatening his ex-girlfriend, infamous Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss. The officers were conducting a random search and found both drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Sizemore was arrested in the early morning on Wednesday for narcotics violation and released in the afternoon on $10,000 bail. Under the terms of his parole, Sizemore is tested regularly for drugs. He tested positive for methamphetamine use a few months ago but his attorneys argued that was due to prescription drugs. Sizemore was sentenced to six months in jail in October for harassing Fleiss and punching her in the jaw during a fight at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Jail was stayed so that he could participate in drug rehabilitation. If he completed the program the judge would have sliced his jail time in half.
Sizemore, who starred in “Saving Private Ryan” and other movies was cast in this fall’s new TV show “Dr.. Vegas” with Rob Lowe. There is no word on whether Sizemore will be able to continue filming but it is likely that this arrest will result in a trip to jail or to an inpatient rehabilitation center.
