The controversy surrounding the firings of CSI actors George Eads and Jorja Fox continues as Eads has stepped forward to dispute Les Moonves’ claims of a salary holdout.

When we last left this drama, CSI was getting ready to shoot their fifth season and Eads and Fox, in the middle of contract negotiations, were nowhere to be found. Moonves, inspired by Trump, said “You’re fired!” - overthrowing the normal practice to delay filming until an agreement can be reached.

On Wednesday, Eads stepped forward to contradict the salary dispute claims stating that he had simply overslept.

'They think it's about money and it's not,' stated Eads 'I overslept. ... I woke up white as a sheet 3 1/2 hours after I was supposed to be on the set.'

After calling in to tell the producers he was on his way to the set, Eads was reportedly told “Don’t bother.”

'It's like I'm the quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys and I overslept the first day of practice,' he said. 'I'd expect the coach to have me run hills and run wind sprints until the sun goes down, not, you know, completely fire me.'

While CBS had no comment on the situation, and Eads, despite numerous attempts, had yet to get in contact with Moonves, stated: 'Let me tell you, I've apologized nine ways to Sunday. It's a big misunderstanding, straight up.... I want all this to work out. 'CSI' is a part of who I am...A contract is a contract.

Whereas rumors have put Fox back in the good graces of Moonves, Eads has yet to hear what his fate will be. The only thing for certain in the latest offset drama of the hit series is the phrase: “Stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.”
