Poor Nicole Kidman can't seem to cut a break in her love life. Her front page divorce from Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise was publicly humiliating, the reported fling with Ewan McGregor never really materialized, and her oddball pairing with hippie-rocker Lenny Kravitz has recently gone south.

And now there's Michael Jackson.

The Daily Mirror reports that in a recent radio interview the Oscar winning actress talked about how she turned down the King of Pop's offer to accompany her down the red carpet at the MTV Music Awards.

'There was a call from his people to mine asking if he could take me to the Awards,' said Kidman during the radio interview. 'I had never even met him, it was a little strange. I did decline, but hey, the way my love life is, I took it as a great compliment.'

A compliment indeed! Jacko has been pretty picky about the very few women he's been associated with in the past decade or so. Lisa Marie Presley still isn't talking about their brief marriage.

The paparazzo's favorite glamour girl also pointed out Jacko's unusual fashion sensibilities as a fair reason to decline the date.

'I keep thinking of those ridiculous photographs of Michael in a shocking wig at Disneyland,' Kidman said. 'So call me crazy, but it just didn't tempt me to want to accept.'
