The head fashionista of the Italian style house, Versace, has quietly entered an undisclosed facility for treatment, her spokesman has confirmed.

'The family views this as a private matter,” said Versace’s representative to Pagesix.Com “We hope the press will respect this as such.'

Friends of the businesswoman say Versace, 49, has privately battled a drug problem for years. Rumors of her health resurfaced after her company’s Milan fashion show in June when she had noticeably lost weight and her hair was falling out. A company spokesman also recently confirmed Versace has been in therapy.

Versace and her brother Santa took over the Versace establishment after the highly profiled murder of their designer brother, Gianni, seven years ago.
